Summary

Reporting to Regional Director of Strategy and Operations ("RDS&O") and supporting the regional leadership team, the Business Project Manager - Strategy and Operations will be a key member of a cross-functional, collaborative team, including partnership with Market Presidents, Product, Marketing, Sales, Network Operations, Medical Management, Health Services, Coding, Finance, Stars, and Commercial Contracting.

The Business Project Manager - Strategy and Operations will be involved in leading projects and/or the development of new procedures/processes/policy solutions to address complex business needs within the SE region. T hey will help to assemble and mobilize capable, appropriately staffed market and matrix teams to achieve project and operational goals.

Areas of responsibility include project assessment, management, monitoring, and data & initiative reporting as needed by the project and/or within the region.

Position will be an individual contributor working on projects and processes, utilizing independent judgment and discretion within a business organization or across various functional areas.

To accomplish this, the Business Project Manager - Strategy and Operations must possess the energy and creative drive to effectively influence a team of high performing matrix professionals across multiple functions.

This role will serve as a critical resource to Southeast Regional Leadership in executing a cohesive and effective strategy to achieve core financial and operational goals, and will play a critical supporting role in the future growth and development of the region.

Responsibilities


  • Support a combination of key business analysis and project management functions, including business requirements, project scoping, current/future state designs, organizing governance groups, creating and facilitating the execution of project plans

  • Work in a customer-aligned fashion, developing an ability to implement best practice solutions that will ensure continued growth and excellent customer service. Positively contribute to organization's shift toward a growth mindset and an external focus

  • Engage and cultivate ongoing working relationships with assigned business SMEs and other matrix partners as needed to facilitate the execution of organizational and project objectives

  • Facilitate discussions and document key outcomes/action items/notes and other project artifacts in an organized and timely manner to facilitate project and initiative progression

  • Help to build alignment across key decision owners and business areas, and ensure sign-off on project-based documents from appropriate business constituents

  • Responsible for maintaining/reporting on certain key status and performance indicators, as relevant to assigned projects or other areas of responsibility

  • Support senior leadership reporting and help as needed with the creation of reports and presentations, providing intel needed for decision making support as related to assigned projects/areas of responsibility

Qualifications



  • Education: Bachelor's degree, MBA or other master's degree highly desired. Equivalent business experience also considered


  • Certification(s) in Lean, Six Sigma, PMP or other business process/analysis areas preferred


  • Experience: 3 or more years of progressive project management and/or business analysis experience supporting various business domains preferred.Other industry or transferable experiences also considered

  • Experience partnering with other business leads and subject matter experts to drive results

  • Experience developing business models, workflows and business readiness plans to ensure project delivery meets business needs

  • Capacity for leading initiatives and influencing people on cross-functional teams; ability to drive transparency and accountability, and learn the strengths and weaknesses of the team so as to inform leadership to put people in a position to succeed

  • Ability to develop strong relationships across multiple levels of the organization

  • Track record of exceeding goals; ability to learn and make good decisions

  • Effective communicator

Location: Virtual with future travel (when permitted) within SE markets

Technology Proficiency:


  • Required: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Ability working with SharePoint and/or other similar tools

  • Desired: Microsoft project (or other equivalent tools) and ability to work with Tableau
