What does this role look like?
As a Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for the operational management and administrative direction of executing business development goals and objectives. Business focus is primarily in the energy and expeditionary logistics markets, with a heavy emphasis on the U.S. Government and Allied Nations, including the military.

Some of your main responsibilities will be:


  • Direct the research, collection and analysis of data regarding new and existing market segments, customers and trends.
  • Establish relationships with potential clients and connects clients with appropriate personnel.
  • May lead or participate in the preparation of bids, contract proposals and/or requests for proposals.
  • May be accountable for the coaching and development of team members as well as the development and recommendation of sales and marketing strategies.
  • May supervise employees, including performance management responsibilities.
  • Responsible for the research and analysis of new business opportunities, consistent with organization's long range and strategic plans.
  • Evaluate opportunities for possible joint ventures through financial feasibility studies and market research.
  • Utilize market share, growth potential, information on competition and economic conditions in the development of new business opportunities.
  • May conduct special studies for top management in areas such as operational effectiveness, capacity utilization and growth potential.
  • May establish relationships with potential customers as well as maintaining current customer relationships to market new service options within a defined geographical scope.

Must-haves:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of government experience in energy, marine services or logistics, in a leadership capacity
  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, energy, marine transportation, marketing or related field, or a combination of post High School and equal experience may be substituted for education
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Word

  • Active classified clearance
  • Former military service
  • Established network of Government contacts
  • Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) experience
  • Operational or Profit and Loss (P&L) experience

Working Conditions
Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
