Job Description

KPFF-Seattle’s Civil Engineering team is seeking Civil Drafters and CAD Technicians who will play and continue to develop their critical role in delivering high quality, integrated drawings for our clients. We are looking for team members that will be responsible for supporting multiple projects and teams by creating, managing, updating, and maintaining variety of drawings, with an eye for presentation and attention to detail. Responsibilities will include:


  • Creation of project drawing and exhibit deliverables
  • Applying established company, jurisdiction, and/or project cad standards
  • Maintain organization of project files
  • Prepare and edit plans, profiles, sections and details from rough sketches, redline mark-ups, and verbal instruction from team members
  • Presentation and overall drawing appearance
  • Coordinating with engineers and team members
  • Plotting and scanning of drawings
  • Complete drawings and project responsibilities within acceptable timeline
  • For CAD Technicians, understanding, modeling, and use of Civil 3D design elements

Minimum Qualifications

Civil Drafter


  • 0 – 2 years’ experience in Drafting
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Basic knowledge of Civil 3D a plus

CAD Technician

  • 2 – 4 years’ experience in drafting or completion of a CAD Technical education program
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge of Civil 3D (such as alignments, profiles, surfaces, pipes).
