Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist at KPFF Consulting Engineers

Job Description:

KPFF Seattlehas been an industry leader in Civil and Structural Engineering for 60 years, working with owners, architects, developers, and contractors to realize our clients’ vision for successful projects.

We are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist to join our accounting team in Seattle, Washington.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Process and track client billing invoices in an accurate and timely manner
  • Read contracts and interpret billing requirements
  • Project setup, including bill structure, rate and classification information
  • Payables entry of sub-consultant invoices
  • Create cost reports in BST 10 Global accounting software
  • Project cost reporting for clients with special requirements
  • Manage accounts receivables on projects
  • Work closely with Project Coordinators for reporting and invoice approvals

QUALIFICATIONS

  • AA degree with accounting/finance emphasis
  • Minimum 3 years related billing experience
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting process
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Office Suite
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team and take initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

OTHER DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with BST 10 Global accounting system
  • Experience in an Engineering firm (or other Professional Services firm)
  • Experience in billing with Public Works Agencies such as WSDOT, King County, Sound Transit and SDOT
