Job Description Summary
This highly visible and enterprise role in which the ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the development, adoption and support of Bentley's collaboration services and platforms. Today, that includes such services as O365's Sharepoint, Teams, Planner as well as Zoom. This role will work with Vice-Presidents, department heads and end users to evangelize the enterprise tools and deploy solutions that meet present and future needs.


Essential Duties:

  • Lead Bentley in driving adoption with the current services and with new functionality as well as research other services to support other collaboration needs.
  • Develop multiyear roadmap for services based on needs identified by the community, as well as emerging technologies that will enhance the Bentley environment.
  • Consult with departments to understand their unique needs and design and implement solutions based on best practices for collaboration and file management and other aspects of productivity related to Office 365 services or other collaboration software.
  • Ability to learn and grasp new technology, and then apply it to identified needs in the environment.
  • Ability to communicate and explain technology and solutions to a non-technical audience.
  • Understand the key O365 collaboration services at Bentley University including Email, One Drive, Teams, Sharepoint, Forms and Flow and develop future plans for services.
  • Stay current on the O365 roadmap and work closely with Microsoft and other universities to understand evolving features, communicate our needs and participate as part of the user community.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, 7 years of IT experience, and strong experience with O365 services. The Senior Client Technology Support Analyst must be able to effectively communicate with users, coworkers and senior management in both verbal and written form. Much of this position will be working closely with colleagues throughout our community.
  • Critical to one's success will be the ability to manage meetings, compose and track follow up communications, manage deliverables, and provide solutions that respond to business needs.
  • This role must have an eye for detail but able to see and communicate the bigger picture along with the ability to plan for and meet deadlines. Ability to synthesize customer requirements, then develop, articulate and execute on a solution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Higher education IT support experience preferred.
  • Extensive work with departments on collaboration solutions.
  • Proficiency in O365 or similar collaboration software.
  • Strong Project Management and consultant experience.
  • Demonstrated presentation and training skills.
