LMI is seeking a top-performing candidate with a military or civilian background in international engagement management to join our growing team in OSD. This position supports the Office of the Director for International Cooperation, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment, in the development and implementation of new international engagement plans to build close partnerships with allies and partners in order to promote and protect shared critical technologies and address the emerging threats posed to DoD's technology advantage by adversary nations.

Responsibilities

Develops, coordinates and implements international engagement plans to build close partnerships with allies and partners on promoting and protecting critical technologies.
- Identifies and recommends mutually beneficial international armaments cooperation opportunities and activities to gain access to cutting edge technology.
- Helps to resolve international agreement, technology security, program acquisition and foreign disclosure issues for identified allies and partners.
- Develops strategies and plans for the implementation of directed and identified international cooperative activities.
- Maintains effective working relationships with counterparts in the Department of Defense, defense establishment, interagency environment, defense industry interlocutors, and with international partners.
- Coordinates international engagement activities within the DoD and with the Department of State, Department of Commerce, foreign counterparts as well as relevant U.S. and foreign industry.
- Provide analytical support and strategic analysis of assigned countries.
- Supports bilateral and multilateral events with international partners in support of DoD priorities and to support senior leadership engagements.
- Develops international armaments cooperation strategies for emerging partners and updates current strategies for established bilateral and multilateral partners.

Qualifications

- An BA/BS, and the following required experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with international program or program support
- Staff experience working for senior leaders within the DoD or other U.S. Government departments
- Secret Security Clearance
- Command of Microsoft Office Suite in order to produce executive level briefing materials, presentations and point papers.
- Additional desired qualifications:
- MA/MS in defense policy, international relations, or related field.
- Understanding of OSD and Military Department roles and processes for system acquisition
- Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills to review and implement policies and guidance
- Experience employing electronic business tools to facilitate staffing and assist senior leader decision making
- Experience conducting critical qualitative and quantitative data analysis
