Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center is a 216-bed acute care hospital proudly serving Bay County and surrounding communities for 40 years. POSITION SUMMARY:

RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL TASKS AND DUTIES REQUIRED FOR PRODUCING HIGH QUALITY MAMMOGRAPHY STUDIES, AND RELAY IMAGES ALONG WITH PERTINENT CLINICAL INFORMATION TO THE PHYSICIAN FOR INTERPRETATION. SPECIFIC FOCUS IS IN PROVIDING SENSITIVE AND EMPATHETIC PATIENT CARE. MUST BE PROFICIENT IN A VARIETY OF TECHNICAL PROCEDURES INCLUDING STEREOTACTIC LOCALIZATIONS AND BIOPSIES, ULTRASOUND GUIDED LOCALIZATIONS, NEEDLE LOCALIZATIONS, BONE DENSITOMETRY, AND MINOR GENERAL RADIOGRAPHIC WORK. QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program (ASSOCIATES DEGREE)

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Required: State of Florida HRS Licensure as a \\"General Radiographer\\"

ARRT certification/registry (R) and/or (M)

American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification required at hire*

Required within 6 months of employment: ARRT Registry Certification in Mammography (M).

*Instructor certifications interchangeable with required certifications

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:

6 months related experience.
