Job Description:

Job Summary:
Responsible for providing nursing care to patients in all areas of the facility including admitting, procedures and recovery. Duties of the registered nurse include thoroughly interviewing patients regarding their health history; IV skills; administration of moderate sedation with a strong ability to assess patients' response to the medications and pain management; closely monitor/recover patients who've had endoscopic procedures who've received moderate sedation. Must have knowledge of endoscopy procedural equipment, high-level disinfection processes and proper infection control practices per nationally recognized standards used by the facility. Supervise non-licensed personnel who are assigned to patient care and work collaboratively with business staff, clinical staff and physicians.

Education/Licensure/Certificates:
Current License as RN in the State of Texas
CPR and ACLS certified by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Previous experience working in an endoscopy center preferred
Previous experience with moderate sedation preferred
Position requires fluency in English language to function in job environment appropriately
Must exhibit desire to exemplify the BSA culture, including the BSA Mission, Vision and the BSA Way; also demonstrates the ADC Endoscopy Specialists Mission

Good clinical assessment skills and nursing judgment, flexibility and basic computer skills.
