The Johns Hopkins Hospital Transplant Nurse Coordinator - Kidney prepares patients for livertransplantation through arranging and monitoring required testing, providing education, and ensuring that internal / external processes are properly coordinated. The RN collects and maintains data required for patient care, research, transplants, and reporting to outside agencies. In this role the RN assumes responsibility for on call activities that include organizing transplants and triaging patient problems.

Shifts: Monday - Friday 8 hour shifts; no weekends

Candidate qualifications for a Transplant Coordinator RN position:

* 3 years of inpatient acute care medical / surgical RN work experience required

* Bachelors or Masters degree, in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing required

* An active Maryland State or Compact RN license is required

* BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
