Job Description:

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:


  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
  • Working proficiency in development toolsets
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
  • Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
  • Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, Test Driven Development, Spec by example
  • 6+ years report development experience in the BI space(BIRT (preferred), JASPER, Business Objects, Cognos)
  • Excellent Core Java with Java 7 and/or Java 8
  • Proficiency in other programming/scripting languages - SQL, Javascript, Linux shell scripting,
  • Working knowledge of any JavaScript framework, preferably EmberJS,
  • Core java, Maven is required.
  • Experience in Core Spring, Hibernate, messaging broker is good to have.
  • Working knowledge of Version Control Systems like git, subversion etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Red Hat Linux environment and shell scripting.
  • 8+ years with J2EE development experience (Spring, JMS, Maven, JUNIT, RESTful web services, MyBatis/Hibernate/Spring JDBC, SOAP web services)
  • Experience with Maven build management and Jenkins build tools in order to structure releases.
  • Dev/Ops and Release team experience.
  • Experience working on High Throughput Mission Critical High Performance STP Platforms
  • RDBMS experience preferably Oracle or MSSQL including stored procedures
  • NoSQL experience, especially ElasticSearch, Cassandra etc. is desirable
  • Selenium, Fitnesse, Cucumber, Junit experience is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Outstanding leadership skills
  • Understanding of Financial and Banking applications or related business experience.
