Position Summary: The Behavior Health Technician – ABA (BHT-ABA) works with the collaboration of a treatment team which may include the Behavior Consultant, teachers, vocational training counselors, medical providers and especially family members. Parent education and support is essential. Services are available in Allegheny, Butler, and Beaver counties.
Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) provide behavioral health treatment to children up to age 21 who have a current DSM or ICD mental health diagnosis and require behavioral support. The services use professional staff and natural supports to create a network of support around an identified child and their family. Services can be rendered in a child’s home, community or school location dependent upon the child and family’s needs.
ABA Services provided under IBHS include intensive therapeutic interventions applying specifically the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. This includes the design, implementation and evaluation of environmental modifications, using behavioral stimuli as consequences, to produce socially significant improvement in human behavior or to prevent the loss of attained skill or function, including the use of direct observation, measurement, and functional analysis of the relations between environment and behavior.
