Account Executive - Portland at Archbright

Job Description:

The Portland Account Executive is responsible for new member acquisition and growing all service sales to existing member base. This includes the generation of revenue by prospecting, cold-calling, and meetings/ presentations to decision makers and key decision influencers.  The AE will sell to HR representatives, C-Suite executives, and business owners by meeting with them, understanding their needs, and recommending appropriate solutions to support them. 

Typical work for Account Executives:  


  • Identifying suspects/prospects through networking, reviewing of professional publications, attending educational workshops, participating in professional associations, inbound inquiries (web leads), and more. 

  • Developing and implementing strategies for securing and maintain new members and service sales within those members.

  • Partnering effectively with EWA Service Line Leaders to present appropriate solutions. 

  • Writing effective proposals and responding in a timely manner to RFPs.  

  • Actively and accurately managing pipeline to build appropriately sized funnel, and accurately forecasting future sales. 

  • Tracking prospecting and sales activities using Sage CRM and producing weekly Activity Reports for management. 

  • Serving as escalation point for member issues and expediting resolution of said issues. 

  • Participating in trade shows by representing the organization and effectively communicating information on all service lines.

You’ll need to have: 


  • Previous experience selling HR related systems or services to support the needs of small-large business marketplace, required

  • 3-5 years of successful sales / customer service experience in B2B environment 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • Track record of exceeding sales quotas

  • Proven ability to effectively prospect, manage, and build relationships with businesses of all sizes 

  • Highly professional and driven to succeed

  • Excellent writing and verbal skills 

  • Organized, with a high attention to detail
