Job Description
The statements below reflect the items considered necessary to describe the essential functions of the job identified and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all work requirements that may be inherent in the job. Essential Functions:

Build Electrical systems which test integration between the PLC software and the hardware systems while in operation.
Safely plan, layout, install, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment per customer specifications.
Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and codes.
Prepare sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follow diagrams, schematics or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wire is installed before installation of future walls, ceilings and floors.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit, using tools, such as hacksaws, porta-bands, pipe threaders and pipe benders.
Pull wire through conduit, assisted by Electrician Helper(s). PLC programming and trouble shooting experience.
Splice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, using wire strippers, twisting or otherwise splicing wires together and applying tape or terminal caps.
Connect wiring to power equipment, using hand tools. Mechanical experience and fabrication skills a plus.
Install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels, fastening in place with screws or bolts, using hand tools and power tools.
Connect power cables to equipment, such as motor, and install grounding leads.
Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and needs for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
Repair of signal transmission facility such as tubing, wiring, etc.
Fault analysis of hardwire relay logic, motor control circuits, motor power circuits (120V to 480V 3phase) and common utility/ lighting circuits
Must be able to read P-ID drawings and install per drawing
Installation of new control circuits, modification of existing instrument/electrical systems as requested, to include design, load and Implementation of new control logic
Perform other duties as necessary

General Educational Development Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency

Additional Requirements

Must be capable of working at elevated heights
The job requires the flexibility to bend, stoop and kneel to enter and/or work in confined or limited spaces as needed.
Must have the ability to distinguish color differentiation for the purpose of identifying wire colors and color coded safety indicators.
The job requires working in areas with extreme temperatures(hot/cold)
The job requires working in chemical environments, some of which require the use of a breathing apparatus
Must be knowledgeable concerning types and uses of materials, parts, and assemblies used in electrical construction throughout the plant.
Must be knowledgeable concerning use of all tools, machines and other equipment involved in electrical construction.
Attend work consistently in an always on time and reliable manner
Follow all safety rules and standards for the company and for the site
Understand and follow direction from the direct supervisor

Physical Profile Requirements:
