Global Business Information Analyst

Key Focus :

Responsible for supporting Manulife Investment Managements Investment Business Office and global new business development efforts by providing general analytical support to the Sales, Consultant Relations, Relationship Management and Marketing teams. Primary responsibilities include gathering data and preparing custom and standardized reports for use by Global Distribution, Marketing and other business units.

Responsibilities :


  • Support the development and implementation of processes and controls to support the data management process.

  • Coordinate all aspects of market data and sales reporting requests to assure overall quality meets firm standards

  • Propose ideas and methodologies to create more efficient reporting while mitigating risk.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to gather asset and personnel information, question and challenge where appropriate; escalate issues requiring resolution.

  • Perform data mining from a myriad of sources; including internal systems/databases, manually constructed files and additional sources as required to effectively respond to requests from the global client base. 

  • Support production of Sales effectiveness/productivity metrics and monitoring " track and report on key sales metrics.

  • Build, maintain, and enhance processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity.

  • Support the Global Business Information team with on-going projects and initiatives

  • Act as a backup for sales reporting and analysis

Recommended Experience:


  • 2 years financial services experience preferred

  • Superior Excel/Word skills desired, including pivot tables, formatting and data presentation

  • Familiar with Microsoft Access

  • Familiar with Power BI

Knowledge & Skills:


  • Bachelors degree required. Preferably in business, finance, economics or related discipline

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making competencies

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Proactive and takes initiative; ability to identify and implement enhancements to existing processes

  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, metrics/deadline driven environment

  • Excellent professionalism, interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Flexible and adaptable when dealing with change

  • Ability to learn complex concepts quickly
