Job Description:

HR Directions seeks a prospect for its client RTI International for the Innovation Marketing and Social Media Internship within the Innovation Advisors Group.

RTI's Innovation Advisors perform analyses and research to provide intelligence for a variety of client needs, from informing new product or market development efforts to identifying new manufacturing capabilities or practices. The Innovation Advisors Team also provides research and analysis to identify commercialization opportunities for technologies that are developed by government laboratories and corporations. The Innovation Marketing and Social Media Intern will be mentored by and work with the Innovation Advisors and staff. As a member of the marketing team, the intern will be responsible for social media, and contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the Innovation Advisors group. The selected candidate will be exposed to the following:

- Hands-on experience planning and managing social media campaigns

- Opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization, recognized as a great place to work

Responsibilities

- Planning and implementing social media campaigns

- Creating social media templates and assets including images or video,

- Brainstorming with team members to identify and create content that supports marketing and / or organization's goals

- Auditing our social media platforms to identify untapped opportunities and analyzing results

- Engaging with clients and potential clients on our platforms

RTI's Internship Program emphasizes experiential and mentored learning experiences, providing students and recent degree recipients an opportunity to apply their academic knowledge and skills in a meaningful and practical way. Additional Information

This paid virtual internship will take place from January 2021 through May 2021. The internship requires a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week. Hours are flexible during business hours, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

- Must be a currently enrolled junior or senior, or recent undergraduate degree recipient at minimum

- Must be studying in the field of marketing, communications, or a related field

- Active user of social media platforms, including Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn

- Knowledge of social media marketing tools including HootSuite, Bitly, Vimeo, Asana, Sprinklr, etc

- Graphic design experience including Adobe Creative Suite or Canva

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in digital marketing and communications is a plus

- Ability to communicate professionally: strong writing background and a strong command of spelling and grammar

- Basic understanding of SEO

- Basic understanding of key-performance metrics, and how to interpret social media and Google analytics data

- Team-player with a positive attitude and sense of humor
