Job Summary: (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned):

The primary role of the Control System Program Manager will be responsible for managing the Calpine control system upgrade and retrofit programs, as well as support other site I&C projects as needed. The Program Manager will oversee projects from scope and budget through completion, including installation and commissioning, working with site personnel and vendors as necessary for job completion.

In addition to managing the control system programs the role includes providing I&C engineering services to support safe, economic and reliable fleet operations.

This job will be based out of Calpine's Pasadena, TX office with expected travel to plant sites and vendor offices as project needs dictate.

Requirements
* Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, with at least 5-10 years' experience preferred. Significant project management, field service or commissioning experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

* Experience with project management, including scope and schedule delineation, with oversight and coordination between groups and disciplines. Has written, reviewed, and checked Specifications, Proposals, Quotes, Contracts, Purchase Orders, and other relevant project documents.

* Has significant experience with control systems used in combustion turbine, combined cycle power generation, including Balance of Plant (BOP) and turbine controls.

* Must have exceptional technical knowledge of combined cycle power plant operation.

* Must have an exceptional understanding of process controls and instrumentation.

* Has strong supervisory technical and leadership skills.

* Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
