Graphic Designer Opening - Fully Remote
Contract - Freelance
True freelance and project based, HOURS CAN BE FROM 5 - 40, average 20 hours per week. Can be done off hours.

* We're looking for an innovative and creative freelance graphic designer with exemplary digital design skills to assist in the creation of highly effective and engaging content for clients throughout the entire Online & Blended Learning organization.

* Working in conjunction with the teams' in-house designer, project manager, digital content specialist and creative services manager, this person will conceptualize, design and produce content solutions for Connections Academy schools, Online Academy, and emerging corporate partnerships and, thus, should be readily able to switch branding to accommodate the needs of different brand products and audiences. In this role, this person will be designing, producing, and developing content for: videos, website modules, interactive digital experiences, social media and more.

* The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in brand design/development, digital design, including some UX/UI experience, video editing and graphic animation, interactive content platforms, and social media content creation.

* Primary Responsibilities: The freelance graphic designer is someone who can tackle complex marketing challenges, create innovative design solutions, and play an integral role in ongoing projects that deliver on goals. This designer must effectively design branded creative content that is engaging and drives results with a:

* Strong ability to design digital content for varying formats and audiences, adhering to best practices of the channel and brand standards, including:

* Websites- Designing engaging website modules and reviewing web content for UX/UI enhancements and working directly with web content experts and UX designers to deliver an effective user experience.

* Lead-driving landing page content

* Interactive, animated infographics

* Paid and organic social media graphics

* Email templates

* Brand campaigns

* Excellent ability to create concepts that deliver on goals throughout the marketing funnel, including but not limited to the following formats:

* Video and understanding best practices for video formats and graphics

* Multimedia event support and collateral, including brochures, flyers, posters

* Direct Mail postcards

* Other duties as needed

* Translate brand positioning, existing research into effective designs

* Leverage data insights to inform concept development and execution

* Implement, enforce and uphold accessibility standards for all customers across digital content

* Understand and enforce web, mobile and email design standards and best practices

* Project Management- Ability to self-manage to deadlines and be communicative regarding workload and expectation-setting.

* Three (3) to five (5) years agency graphic design experience preferred

* Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in design, fine arts or a related equivalent field required - Digital creative portfolio/website must be submitted along with resume demonstrating a wide range of creative work - Experience in the education industry (preferred) or other highly regulated field - Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Dreamweaver) and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) - Experience in digital content creation for online experiences, websites, and other digital media - Excellent knowledge of brand design, typography, layout design and color theory - Well versed in concepting innovative solutions and presenting clear creative solutions to solve for complex marketing challenges - Must be thoroughly passionate and immersed in the world of design; staying in-the-know on design best practices across all design formats, namely in the digital space - Strong organizational skills and ability to self-manage and prioritize multiple projects based on business-critical needs and meet deadlines - Must have experience in creating accessible digital content - Proven history of strong collaboration with copywriters in concept development, as well channel owners - Ability to work with programming scripts including HTML and CSS - Digital, video and animation experience is a must The Company is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit and business needs.
