If you are a Commodity Analyst/Commodity Manager looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Sidney, Ohio location, you will manage approximately $40M spend commodity which includes various machined parts (USD and Cranks) and develop sourcing/preferred supplier strategies that support Emerson goals of speed, service, quality and working capital. Prepare business plan yearly to show the sourcing plan between suppliers to meet contractual obligations and regularly maintain supplier production and inventory records to ensure on-time delivery to North America assembly plants.
 

AS A COMMODITY ANALYST/COMMODITY MANAGER, YOU WILL:   


  • Work with Cost Containment/Savings (NMI)

  • Assist with E-Sourcing Plan/Completion

  • Maintain Supplier On Time Delivery of 95% or Better

  • Work with Short and Long Range Supplier Capacity Plan/Execution

  • Increase Payment Terms; Reduce Days On Hand Inventory

  • Assist with Supplier Quality (PPM) Improvement

  • Negotiate and Complete Supply Agreements

  • Work with leadership on Business Unit/Group/Corporate Teams, including New Product Development

  • Assist with maintenance of the Cost System through Regular Material Price Adjustment Methods

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • 4 Year Degree plus 2-4 Years of Procurement or related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Effectively communicate, lead meetings, make presentations and use tact and professionalism at all times

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook

  • Have a basic understanding of LEAN and/or Perfect Execution methodologies  

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of time.  

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role. 


 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  


  • 4 Year Business or Technical Degree plus 4 or more years of Procurement or related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • ISM, APICS, or other Procurement, Materials Management certification

  • Prior experience managing a commodity, team, or large scope project

  • Blue print reading experience

  • Working knowledge of LEAN and/or Perfect Execution Methodologie
