EMS Project Managers are responsible for all aspects of client projects from the receipt of a purchase order through receipt of acceptance of the system by the client. Project Managers coordinate all activities with their counterparts within client organizations to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget, and at the expected level of quality.
Essential Functions
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
Develop and maintain project schedules, work assignments, and manpower expenditures
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Identify and resolve issues that will impact the project and schedule
Ensure resource availability, allocation, and cost
Ensure accuracy of reported hours worked onsite
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Participate in contract process and project administration
Prepare purchase requisitions, negotiate change orders, and coordinate field service requirements
Lead and motivate cross-functional teams
Assist with design, development, and specification of materials and components for use in Company products
Responsible for design review meetings, phase sign-offs and turnover at end of project
Coordinate efforts with Customer Service to document and support new and existing customer installations
Document system acceptance testing and client acceptance
Ensure that project deliverables and milestones are met including pre-construction submittals, close out documentation and punch list items
Must be able to handle multiple concurrent projects
Performs other duties as required
Skills and Abilities:
Basic knowledge of networking and LAN system requirements
Proficient with MS Office applications, including Microsoft Project
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience leading multiple complex projects
Expertise in project management discipline and techniques
Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize, and prioritize work
Willing to travel up to 50%
Strong team building skills
PMP certification is a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
College Degree or relevant job experience required
Minimum of three years’ experience in project management and/or A/V design
