Silicon Valley Bank is looking for a Sr. Talent Development Specialist as part of the Talent Development team.
The Senior Talent Development Specialist will be responsible for partnering with Learning Solution Managers, Subject Matter Experts and Media Specialists, Instructional Designers and Developers to create interactive learning, simulations, videos and/or problem/case-based development solutions for SVB Staff.
This position is responsible for designing and developing effective interactive digital and virtual learning experiences that impact performance. Utilize your creative skills to come up with innovative solutions to training needs. Adaptable and able to switch from editing short videos to creating interactive e-learning and/or virtual in person courses.
Works with instructional designers, business stakeholders and media specialists and reports to the Talent Development POD Manager to ensure projects are well scoped and delivered in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities
Learning Solution Development: Create effective and engaging interactive digital and virtual learning expereinces that impact performance.
Analyze learning needs and work with stakeholders to design effective learning solutions to address needs.
Develop learning solutions that support development of capabilities vital to the organization's current and future success.
Work with Talent Development Managers to ensure delivery of solutions meet customer needs
Work with other designers, developers and/or vendors to develop engaging learning solutions.
Measure and improve effectiveness of learning solutions
Technology: Use technology effectively to support design and development of sustainable learning solution design.
Identify appropriate interactive media to support content delivery, optimized for virtual and online delivery.
Leverage appropriate multi-media development, ensuring solutions are scalable and sustainable.
Develop and maintain instructional design / instructional media skills and knowledge.
Use appropriate technology and processes to track and report progress against delivery goals.
Consulting: Consult with Talent Development Managers, Instructional Designers, business SMEs and other team members on the design and development of learning solutions.
Build strong partnerships with SMEs throughout discovery, design, development, piloting and delivery processes for effective learning solutions.
BA/BS required. (MA preferred) Instructional Technology, Multi-Media Development, Business, Adult Learning or related field highly preferred.
Five plus years of Training and Development, Adult Education, or Multi-media design and graphics
Specialized in any of the following: Instructional Design, Design Thinking, Video production, e-learning development, Adult learning, Game development and/or Educational Simulation design and development.
Ability to develop E-learning, Educational Video, Virtual classroom sessions or Educational Simulations using modern design principles
Expertise in industry-standard graphics and multimedia software packages such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Cloud
Experience with non-linear video editing in programs such as Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects. Additional Skills and Experience:
3D modeling/animation
Portfolio that exhibits a high standard of design and artistry .
Preparing rough design concepts based off discussions with clients .
Designing animated menus and graphics .
Prototyping and testing the functionality of the end product .
Ability to leverage and apply design thinking or similar design methods to create client-centric solutions.
Ability to build successful relationships with a variety of constituents is essential; establishes rapport with business SME's, learning and development professionals and customers, and works effectively with all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated knowledge of agile, iterative development methodologies.
