Scope:

The Manager of Learning Design will help lead the design and development of tactical learning experiences and initiatives for each business unit, ensuring learning strategies and plans are aligned with overall organizational strategy. They will help provide the framework for learning for on the job success to leaders. The Manager of Learning Design, reporting to the Director of Learning & Development, will also have a key role in communication and marketing of learning initiatives across the organization. They will be instrumental in coaching others to create and deliver content through the lens of the learner and building a learning culture. This position will also be a crucial component of helping to deliver on metrics and data to drive decisions.

Position Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Tactical Learning Design 35%

* Partners with key leaders across the organization to determine what employees need to know and when in order to be successful in their roles.

* Leads the design of new employee learning journeys.

* Coaches identified department Learning Stewards and SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to create and deliver learning opportunities that are focused on the learner and drive results that are measurable.

* Helps to manage annual tactical live (Remote Instructor Led Training) calendar and support facilitators as needed.

Communication & Marketing 15%

* Partners with Director, Learning & Development to create an annual communication and marketing strategy to deliver clarity to employees and increase engagement.

* Creates marketing campaigns centered on learning opportunities throughout the year to drive engagement and business solutions as they arise.

* Utilizes Workplace by Facebook and dimension as platforms to drive awareness and interest in development.

* Resources MOD-U s client community to pull best practices from industry experts to support engagement.

New Hire Orientation 15%

* Leads the New Hire Orientation program including but not limited to: creating/updating content delivered, schedule, and facilitator placements.

* Serves as a resource for new employees in first 30 days for learning resources and navigating MOD-U.

* Coaches new employees on following their Learning Journeys and utilizing resources effectively for learning.

Data Analysis 12%

* Runs metrics on a weekly basis to manage micro & macro learning activity.

* Coaches others to design learning with effectiveness metrics in mind first.

* Delivers on quarterly reports to drive decisions for changes needed for value.

Operations 10%

* Utilize and help grow the function of the Learning Management System.

* Support the process of measuring learning effectiveness through data.

* Collaborate with team on managing the ServiceDesk inquiries.

Learning and Professional Development 10%

* Complete required training as outlined by Human Resources.

* Spend at minimum one hour a month developing personal soft skills.

* Throughout the year and leverage opportunities for enhanced personal leadership and growth.

Other Duties 3%

* Perform other duties from time to time in order to ensure the attainment of goals.

Position Qualifications

Education/Experience

* Values and understands adult learning principles

* Has demonstrated virtual learning techniques

* High Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

* *A plus to know or have the ability to learn quickly Canva, Powtoon, Camtasia and other training resource software.

* Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills

* High level of self-awareness

* Ability to manage time and work independently

* Positive attitude, attention to detail and customer service focused

* Ability to accept and provide constructive feedback in a professional manner

* Confidence to work with all levels of title and experience internally
