JOB TITLE: Operational Planner/Senior Advisor - I MEF G7/EOTG

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Subject matter expertise (SME) and planning support services to I Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF) G-7 / I MEF Expeditionary Operations Training Group (I EOTG). SME provides strategic and operational planning support for advisor training.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide strategic and operational planning support for advisor training

- Assist with the planning, coordinating and overseeing all Advisor Training Branch (ATB) training oversight

- Support the day-to-day function of all ATB operations

- Coordination and communication with advise and assist teams supporting G-7 mission

- Develop and ensure the timely release of official message traffic (i.e. Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) messages)

- Ensure Plans of Action and Milestones (POAM) for major events are accurate and published to ATB, G-7 and other personnel

- Preparation of appropriate Letters of Instruction (LOI), ensuring a timely release to both the training audience and I MEF EOTG staff

- Manage the preparation and execution of Periods of Instruction (POI) ensuring training conducted in support of the combat advisory mission is carried out effectively and efficiently

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

- US Citizen

- Secret Clearance

- Master's Degree (12 years' additional work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree. Bachelor's Degree plus 8 additional years' work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree)

- Over 10 years of relevant experience

- Advisory Experience with USMC MOS of 0570 or other service level equivalent

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- U.S. Marine Corps (or service equivalent) Command and Staff College graduate
