Sr. Product Manager - Data Privacy & Protection

Job Description:

The primary location for this position is Santa Clara/Bay Area, CA, but there is a flexibility of allowing other or virtual locations for the right candidate.

The Micro Focus Data Privacy & Protection team is looking for a Sr. Product Manager to take on the challenge of helping to position our world class security solution, Voltage, as THE data privacy and protection solution in the industry. This is an amazing opportunity for the right candidate who has the experience in the data privacy and protection market, dealing with various data security solutions, and solid understanding of the payments space, cryptography, data protection regulations and data security standards.

In this role, this leader will closely partner with customers, engineering, channel partners, MSPs, market development, alliance partners, pre-sales, and other product managers and GTM teams to help craft a compelling vision and product strategy roadmap that gives customers an exciting user experience as we help to manage and protect their critical data with Voltage.

Responsibilities:
- Ideate and define new features, capabilities, and content to serve needs of our Data Privacy & Protection customers
- Gather user-requirements based upon customer and market inputs to drive Voltage product roadmap
- Partner with customers, engineering, channel partners, MSPs, market development, alliance partners, Pre-sales, and other product managers and GTM teams
- Participate in agile stand-ups/scrums with geographically disperse teams to build and iterate
- Plan Voltage product/feature launches in collaboration with Marketing
- Represent Micro Focus as a subject matter expert in client meetings, industry events, etc.
- Represent \\"voice of the customer\\" in everything we do.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience in as product manager and leader for a data security solution provider or enterprise, or relevant experience in the data security space is preferred
- Having experience with various Payments Data Security standards, Point-to-Point-Encryption (P2PE) technologies and frameworks, and Privacy Regulations
- Understanding of Cloud and the various services is preferred
- Previous experience with either Data Privacy, Data Protection, Encryption, Tokenization, Masking products highly desirable
- Superior verbal, written communication, and presentation skills essential
- Good technical acumen and grasp of data security
- Good understanding of the enterprise Data Privacy regulations, PCI-DSS, NIST standards and markets
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously, with appropriate sense of urgency
- Able to quickly assimilate knowledge about new industry sectors and technologies
- Adept at building consensus and driving ideas forward with conviction
- Ability to travel globally as and when needed
- Prior experience with Voltage or any other competitor products is a PLUS.
