Infotech is seeking a Software Engineer to support Infotech's strategy and vision for a suite of SaaS solutions used in the road and infrastructure construction process.

We support all aspects of road construction from managing bids to secure document signing to cost estimation and inspection. As a member of the Software Engineering team, you'll play a direct role in building and improving the construction and safety of road and highway infrastructure.

What We Are Looking For

As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, installation, testing and maintenance of software systems. You will own product features from technical design to launch. With a solid foundation of computer engineering best practices, you will focus on task completion and depth within a dedicated area of our code base.

TYPICAL DUTIES INCLUDE

- Maintaining a high level of code integrity by writing clean, test-driven code using established design patterns.

- Adhering to specifications and designs for complex software applications and systems.

- Taking well-defined, tactical sub-tasks from a larger project and completing these tasks in a reasonable time frame.

- Using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.

- Preparing reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, or status.

- Conferring with business analysts, data scientists, or project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities.

- Serving as a contributing team member, participating in Agile development process and regularly communicating status to supervisor and team.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

- 1-5 years' experience in software engineering obtained through a combination of past positions, internships, class or independent projects.

- Familiar with front and back-end software engineering languages and frameworks.

Technical Skills

We are currently looking for developers skilled in Python and JavaScript and we are hosted on AWS; however, we know the best engineers can pick up new tech quickly when needed, so don't be deterred if you don't have every item on the list below!

- Languages: Python and JavaScript;

- Frameworks: Vue.js or React;

- Cloud Platforms: AWS or any experience with cloud providers (Azure or Google (GCP));

- Source control management: Git;

- Front-end: JSON, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Web Components;

- Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB or MongoDB.

Location

Infotech is located in Gainesville, Florida. Come to work in our state of the art facility in Celebration Pointe where you can enjoy daily visits from award-winning food trucks and stunning nature views over Split Rock Conservation Area. Currently, all employees are working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic, but once our office reopens, our preference is to hire someone in Gainesville or willing to relocate to Gainesville.
