The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for providing excellent patient service through being patient, positive, caring, and compassionate. The patient service will be provided both in person and on the phone, so the Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for being clear to communicate over the phone with patients and providers. The radiology department has state-of-the-art imaging technology, so learning new technology, systems, and methods are essential responsibilities for the Ultrasound Technologist position. Assisting in ultrasound procedures as well as performing them without direct supervision is the overarching aspect of the Ultrasound Technologist’s position within this collaborative medical center. Providing verbal reports to radiologists and other providers after imaging patients will be a regularly occurring aspect of the position. Interacting with both inpatient and outpatient providers to provide imaging results is a job responsibility for the Ultrasound Technologist.
