We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to help support our growing Business Services team. We are open to candidates who may be based out of the Los Alamos, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque area.

Responsibilities:


  • Budget development and tracking; cash flow monitoring, forecasting, budgeting, and cost reporting Accrual preparation, funds management, monthly review of project financials


  • Quarterly review of major projects


  • Develop/ review of cost estimates and proposals


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required (complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros)


  • Access database development and maintenance is preferred but not required


  • Oracle experience preferred, not required


Requirements:


  • Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience


  • A minimum of 10 years of related experience in a financial role for government or commercial contracts


  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams including Engineers, Discipline Managers, Team Leaders, and Project Services


  • Additional experience in procurement and contract administration is considered an asset


  • FAR-based contract experience is preferred


  • Proficient with MS Office Suite with a strong emphasis in Microsoft Excel


  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills to develop solutions to complex issues


  • Problem solving capability in the absence of procedures and guidelines


  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with quick turnarounds is considered essential


  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills


  • Strong oral and written communication skills


  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to prioritize work, recognizing the need for doing thorough and complete work, but at the same time addressing the demanding schedule requirements
