What do our Network Operations Manager's do?
The Network Operation Manager is responsible for owning all network activities and technologies for Rentokil North America while liaising with the global network team for alignment to standards.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

- Takes responsibility for the design, procurement, installation, upgrading, operation, control, maintenance (including storage and communication of data, voice, text, audio and images) and effective use of IT infrastructure components and monitors their performance.
- Provides technical management of an IT operation, ensuring that agreed service levels are met, and all relevant procedures are meet.
- Schedules and supervises all maintenance and installation work.
- Ensures that operational problems are identified and resolved. Provides appropriate status and other reports to specialists, users and managers.
- Ensures that operational procedures and working practices are fit for purpose and current.
- Drafts and maintains procedures and documentation for network support.
- Makes a significant contribution to the investigation, diagnosis and resolution of network problems.
- Ensures that all requests for support are dealt with according to set standards and procedures.
- Contributes to the availability management process and its operation and performs defined availability management tasks.
- Analyses service and component availability, reliability, maintainability and serviceability. Ensures that services and components meet and continue to meet all of their agreed performance targets and service levels. Implements arrangements for disaster recovery and documents recovery procedures. Conducts testing of recovery procedures.
- Monitors service delivery performance metrics, and will liaises with managers and customers to ensure that service level agreements are not breached without the stakeholders being given the opportunity of planning for deterioration in service.
- Performs defined tasks to monitor service delivery against service level agreements and maintains records of relevant information. Analyses service records against agreed service levels regularly to identify actions required to maintain or improve levels of service, and initiates or reports these actions
- Provides technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational procedures. Uses network management tools to determine network load and performance statistics. Contributes to the planning and implementation of maintenance and installation work. Implements agreed network changes and maintenance routines. Identifies operational problems and contributes to their resolution, checking that they are managed in accordance with agreed standards and procedures. Provides reports and proposals for improvement to specialists, users and managers.
- Uses network management tools to produce management information on capacity and utilization and investigate issues where necessary.
- Carries out routine audit and checks to ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Facilitates the implementation of mandatory electrical safety testing.
- Acts as the routine contact point between organization and relevant technical suppliers. Collects and reports on supplier performance data.
- Reviews capacity, performance, availability and other operational metrics and takes appropriate action to ensure corrective and proactive maintenance of storage and backup systems to support the requirement to protect business information.
- Creates reports and proposals for improvement and contributes to the planning and implementation of new installations and scheduled maintenance and changes within the system.
- Prepares and maintains operational procedures and provides technical expertise and appropriate information to the management.

What do you need?
- Networking certification - CCNA or higher/ or at least 4 years of experience in a similar IT networking management role
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in related IT field -Preferred
- Works under broad direction. Work is often self-initiated. Is fully accountable for meeting allocated technical and/or project/supervisory objectives.
- Establishes milestones and has a significant role in the delegation of responsibilities.
- Performs an extensive range and variety of complex technical and/or professional work activities.
- Undertakes work, which requires the application of fundamental principles in a wide and often unpredictable range of contexts.
- Understands the relationship between own specialism and wider customer/organizational requirements.
- Has in-depth commercial and technical expertise, often in a variety of environments.
- Demonstrates the special leadership skills needed to handle innovation and change resulting from the implementation of new information and communications technology solutions.
- Possesses a good level of management skills, with particular emphasis on interpersonal and negotiating skills.
- Has good understanding of technologies used within the organization
- Strong leadership experience, managing technical resources across multiple disciplines and different geographic locations
- ITIL ® Foundation in IT Service Management - Required
- Networking qualifications - CCNA or higher - NSX & Networking Security - Preferred
- Must pass pre-employment background screen and drug test
- Must possess a valid driver's license and pass motor vehicle record search
