Job Description:
Position Summary: Provides nursing care to chronically or acutely sick patients; provides medication monitoring, adjusts medications within limits prescribed by Staff Psychiatrist, and performs in liaison role between client and Staff Psychiatrist, lab, pharmacist, family or residential facility staff, and other community caregivers; provides information, education and support for clients; promotes wellness, recovery and skill building to sustaining better heath; prevention training in the areas of wellness, recovery, managing symptoms, making healthy life style choices, recognizing and responding to relapse, managing crisis and achieving and sustaining recovery. It is expected that the Behavioral Health Nurse - RN function as an integral, cooperative member of the agency team of professionals and will provide outstanding internal and external customer service and maintenance of appropriate documentation.

Minimum Qualifications: A registered nurse (RN) licensed under the Nurse Practice Act [225 ILCS 65] with at least one year of clinical experience in a mental health setting is preferred. Requires good communication and customer service skills. Salary based on qualifications and experience. Requires successful completion of background checks, good driving record, and ability to utilize computer/electronic systems.
