Manager, Business Generation Team

Job Description (Role Profile)

Avid is hiring a Manager to help build on its lead generation function, based in Burlington, MA. You will be responsible for building the sales pipeline through scaling outbound qualification, as well as for training, supervising and coaching the team.

Main responsibilities of the role:

- Accurately forecast on a weekly, monthly, quarterly cadence to meet and exceed set quotas.

- Build confidence and trust with direct reports as well as provide developmental feedback for continuous improvement.

- Work well with other cross functional teams.

- Supervise and conduct trainings on skills improvement, inbound sales and marketing topics.

- Continuously coach the team in developing a strong sales process to close their opportunities to meet revenue goals.

- Manage the sales workflow from lead to close by being engaged with DD, Sales Ops, OM and Supply Chain.

- Maintain headcount and build confidence and trust with direct reports.

- Hire top talent to elevate the team (attributes to include intellectual curiosity, empathy, strong work ethic, track record of achievement).

- Utilize Sales Force CRM for all activities and account, territory and partner management.

- Mobilize resources and develop pipeline for the given territory in collaboration with marketing.

- Teach strong sales skills and develop career plans with each team member.

- Run it like your own business and franchise!

Your profile:

- You have at least 2 years of experience leading a business development team at a leading SAAS business, and at lease 2 years of experience as a successful business development representative.

- You already experienced building out a business development function

- You are tech-savvy and able to quickly understand complex products and solutions.

- You have a passion for sales training, motivating and coaching in a high-growth environment.

- You are a team player able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with excellent analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.

- You know how to take initiative and accountability, and aim at generating results every day.

- Entrepreneurial spirit highly encouraged

- A BA/BS University degree or equivalent is preferred
