SUMMARY
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.
- Performing welding functions.
- Installing and maintaining electrical controls, circuits, and PLC units.
- Troubleshooting and identifying worn parts and rebuilding machine assemblies.
- Participation in equipment preventative maintenance program.
- Strict adherence to all safety guidelines, rules, policies and procedures.
- Safe handling and use of various chemicals with strict adherence to Hazardous Communication and MSDS requirements.

- Applicant must have knowledge of pneumatic, electro-mechanical systems and practical knowledge of equipment and plant electrical systems.
- Must have the ability to analyze electro-mechanical devices, trouble shoot failures and implement repairs.
- Must have written and verbal skills to effectively communicate.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, scaffolds, and access rooftops.
- Flexibility to work overtime and partial weekends.
- Wiliness to learn new equipment and processes.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school or technical school education.
- Three (3) or more years of maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Textile industry, Garnett or Card machines a plus.
- Electrical background a strong plus.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
- Sewing machine repair is a strong plus.
- Experience in operating a forklift is a plus.
- Licensed electrician a strong plus.
- Basic Computer skills is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.
