eCommerce Analyst at Deckers Consumer Direct Corporation

Job Description:

The eCommerce Analyst will be a key member on the NA Direct to Consumer eCommerce team, providing actionable insights and data driven recommendations that will help grow eCommerce revenues & profit.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: List in order of importance, the 5 essential job functions and estimate the percentage of time spent on each. Total must equal 100%.

Manages weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting and ad hoc eCommerce channel analysis to help drive short term and long term data driven strategies to achieve revenue and profit goals.

Produces insights focused deep dive reports by leveraging various data sources and analysis tools such as Google Analytics, SQL, R, Redshift & Python.

Provides operational forecasting, reporting, and analytics for Ugg.com, Hokaoneone.com, Teva.com, Sanuk.com.

Establish success metrics or benchmarks to better evaluate financial performance based on KPIs, such as revenue, conversion, freight cost, and product margin.

Produce dashboards and/or presentations that share insights with all levels of the organization

Collaborate with cross functional teams by providing data driven strategic guidance to build seasonal (6-12 months out) GoTo Market product and promotional plans. Leverage data and process systems to identify and maximize opportunities in-season.

Collaborates with User Experience teams and the eCommerce Site Managers to identify and evaluate A/B tests and on-site personalization tests. Be an active stakeholder in personalization efforts to provide recommendations and drive in-season agility and optimization.

Partners with other analysts at both the DTC and enterprise levels to share learnings, develop a network of practitioners, align on best practices, etc

Proactively suggest new projects or initiatives to increase revenue, reduce costs, and improve profitability.

Contribute to the overall success of Deckers by actively participating as part of the broader Direct to Consumer team to propose ideas to help the company achieve its goals.

Manage 3rd party data providers to produce accurate and actionable data and insights

QUALIFICATIONS: Required qualifications needed in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Education/Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, or Technology fields

Work Experience:


  • 3-5+ years of analytics, financial analyst or cost accounting experience

  • 2+ years of eCommerce-relevant experience

  • Knowledge of statistics and their business applications

Skills/Competencies:


  • Highly analytical and metrics-driven

  • Ability to interpret and analyze data to advise and drive strategic business decisions

  • Understand Data Wrangling

  • Must be proficient with Tableau, Excel, SQL

  • Experience with R, Python, Machine Learning a plus

  • Strong business acumen

  • Familiar with Google Analytics, Redshift, BigQuery, Oracle

  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities in line with business objectives

  • Ability to influence, educate, work collaboratively, and gain consensus amongst peers, key stakeholders, and leadership

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal colleagues and external business partners

  • Excellent time management, organizational, planning and project management skills.

  • Must be flexible, collaborative, and has excellent relationship building skills
