SUMMARY

Manages a team of 5 - 8 sales representatives and merchandisers, and is responsible for training, development, and motivation to ensure proper representation of our brands in their accounts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Trains and develops new and experienced sales representatives through the use of sales training modules and field ride withs.
  


• Assesses performance of sales representatives by providing timely performance assessments.


• Establishes account programs for sales representatives.


• Establishes Major Account management program.


• Detects and develops management candidates.


• Provides upward flow of relevant market information to upper management.


• Participates in the recruiting of candidates.

• Practices safe work and driving habits and, if accountable for others, ensures their understanding and compliance of such habits.


• Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory consideration.  If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops, coaches and mentors subordinate staff.


• Conducts performance evaluations, recommends salary adjustments; rewards employees or takes disciplinary action, as necessary; addresses complaints and resolves issues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.


• 21 years of age or older.


• Professional sales experience with a Gallo wholesaler or affiliated distributor that includes the holiday season.


• Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.


• Required to lift or move 45 – 57 pound cases of product.


• Required to work weekends for special functions/events when needed. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Demonstrated Leadership aptitude and skill.


• Good communication skills; sticks to point.


• Good problem solving skills.


• Good time management skills.


• Good organization skills.


• Demonstrated teamwork experience.
