The Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT is seeking an experienced HR professional with an expertise in Employee Relations and policy development and implementation. In this role, you will use your knowledge of employee relations and HR policy best practices to a human resources team committed to delivering an ever- improving service to all Broadies. With responsibility for the development and implementation for employee relations and policy strategy, this role is critical in enabling the Broad to deliver its ambitious vision.

In this role, you'll focus your work in two primary areas, the first of which is employee relations. In partnership with the HR Partner team, you will investigate employee relations concerns and policy violations, including concerns regarding discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other work-related issues; recommend appropriate resolution of concerns; and monitor results, as well as prepare investigative documentation, including interview notes and summary of findings for leadership.

The second focus area will be policy management. To be successful here, you must have a passion for policy from start (policy development, taking into account both evolving legal obligations, compliance as federal contractors, and organizational goals and needs) to finish (how do we best communicate new/revised policies to the community?) to reevaluation (routine evaluation of HR policies including their impact and effectiveness). You will be responsible for this full-cycle approach in order to ensure that our policies are always up-to-date and effective.

And of course, you'll manage other projects/processes as needed, giving you exposure to all aspects of HR.

Education and Experience:
-
Bachelors degree in Employee Relations, Human Resources or related field required.

Four years of professional human resource administration, including two years in employee relations preferred OR its equivalent through training, education, and other experience.

SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
