Our St. Francis hospital is seeking a Labor and Delivery Technician. We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills in our New Life Center where you will be responsible for:

What You Will Be Doing:

Provides patient care according to the policies and procedures of St. Francis.
*

Maintains cleanliness and organization of the unit.
*

Perform a variety of clerical duties.
*

Effectively manage department/patient activities in a time efficient manner to ensure the delivery of care is well-organized and proficient.
*

Maintain the medical record to ensure that forms are available for use and patient information is easily retrievable.
*

Provide quality customer service to patients, families, co-workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team to create a professional and respectful environment.

Advanced Primary Stroke Center Certification

Inpatient Rehab Stroke Certification
*

Chest Pain Accreditation, by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care
*

Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, by the American College of Radiology
*

(CoC) Accreditation

*

High School/GED
*

Completion of Surgical Tech program preferred
*

Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
*

Either completetion of surgical tech program or at least one (1) year experience in Labor and Delivery OR department in similar position
*

Possesses effective interpersonal and communication skills
*

Basic computer skills
*

Ability to learn to perform direct patient care and basic nursing procedures
*

Ability to interet and communicate data relevant to patients'needs and responses to care
