The Intern, Marketing will be exposed to a professional work environment, gain valuable insight and practical experience while learning the ins-and-outs of processes, procedures and the business. An Intern is responsible for assisting with various projects within the department he/she is assigned to at K12. Essential functions may vary from administrative, clerical and support level work to more hands-on tactical work. The Marketing intern will support email marketing projects and campaigns focused on engaging prospects, driving new school enrollments and retaining existing customers.

- Demonstrate an understanding of the business, needs and business goals

- Create and prepares various content, presentations and materials as needed

- Execute tasks by utilizing various technologies and platforms specific to the business

- Provides additional support to the team as needed

- Conducts research on best of breed company email programs, latest innovations and industry competitive analysis to create a summary of recommended best practices and ideas for testing

- Assists in updating the email campaign calendar, test plan matrix and schedule updates

- Conducts email creative audits and helps maintain library of email creative assets

- Supports team requests to compile and collect performance data on email campaigns

- Supports team requests to help with various stages of the email execution process

- Helps QA email campaigns and templates

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

- High School Diploma AND

- Currently pursuing a BS/BA or MS/MA degree in Marketing or Business) OR

- Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

Other Required Qualifications:

- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong project management skills

- Ability to conduct research, summarize key learnings and present ideas

- Good working knowledge and comfort with Excel and PowerPoint

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Strong observational and listening skills

- Self-motivation and excellent problem-solving skills

- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize effectively and manage priorities to deliver and drive results

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment

- Ability to respond appropriately to feedback and guidance

- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); Web proficiency

- Ability to travel 10% of the time (minimal if any e.g. team building activity)

- Ability to clear required background check

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience with Email Marketing

- Copywriting experience

- Advanced Excel skills like pivots

- HTML knowledge

- Prior experience with K12
