Job Description:

DESCRIPTION SHIFT: No Weekends

SCHEDULE: Full-time

The Controller is responsible for the direction and leadership of the fiscal facility operations and maintaining proper financial controls to ensure reliable and accurate financial reporting and integrity of financial services and applications. Formulates and administers general accounting practices in adherence with corporate accounting policy (APG) and internal audit guidelines; interprets data, and prepares financial analysis of operations for the guidance of management.

St. Petersburg General Hospital is a Joint Commission accredited full-service 215-bed acute care facility, providing comprehensive emergency care including the area's first seniors emergency service designed to meet the needs of the elderly, diagnostic, medical, surgical and women's services, including obstetrics. The hospital is a six-time recipient of the Top Workplace honor by the Tampa Bay Times and named an LBGTQ Leader since 2013, by the Healthcare Equality (HRC).

St Petersburg General Hospital is accredited as a Breast Center with Digital Imaging and Computer Aided Detection, accredited Lung Cancer Screening Center, Advanced Primary Stroke Center, Accredited Community Cancer Center (CoC) and a GYN Robotic Surgery Epicenter. Here surgeons from across the country come to train on the latest GYN robotic techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business field Required. Focus in Accounting/Finance, preferred.

Experience:

Three to five years in hospital fiscal services. Three years at supervisory level.
