Overview:

The Nursing Assistant (NA) performs job responsibilities under the direct supervision of the Department Manager and licensed professional staff. The Nursing Assistants primary responsibility is to aid professional staff, offer quality of life services to patients, assist patients with activities of daily living (ADL), and to deliver direct care to patients as directed by the licensed staff in charge. Adheres to the facility's Core Values and mission with complete regard for the dignity of each person. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

Education: High-School Diploma or GED are required. You may be asked to provide proof of education.
Licensure: None.
Experience: Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Other: Must understand English both written and spoken, must be able to safely and successfully perform job-related functions, with our without reasonable accommodation required by federal, state, or local law.
Preferred Education: Successfully complete a state approved nurses-aide training program.
Preferred Licensure: None.
Preferred Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in a hospital setting.
Preferred Certifications: State Nurse Aide Certification through the OKSDH.
