What You'll Get to Do:
Provide ownership/leadership for SW-focused growth solutions within EPIC. Lead the development and collaborate in the execution of business strategy, solution strategy/roadmap, go-to-market approach, and commercial/pricing approach for these solutions. Solutions in scope for this position include Smart Manufacturing, Video Analytics Platform (inclusive of IDguard, Employee and Customer Safety and other TBD solutions), Facial Recognition, along with a near-term transition of Food Locker solution into this area of responsibility as well. Work with relevant sales teams to develop business opportunities with the ultimate responsibility of increasing customer demand and growing the revenue base in targeted business segments. Operate with an 'owner's mentality' when it comes to the P&L and ROI for these solutions.
Solution Ownership/Leadership for Software-Focused Growth Solutions:
- Develop and maintain a vision for key software platforms including Smart Manufacturing, Video Analytics and Facial Recognition
- Collaborating with key internal stakeholders (including DSC, sales and services teams) and external stakeholders (current and prospective customers, channel partners, etc.), develop and maintain solution roadmaps for key solution platforms
- Build and maintain ROI models, P&L, etc., for key solution platforms
- Visit established customers to get advice and update them on Panasonic's new solutions
- Get market/customer demands and provide feedback to EPIC and PSSNA Leadership to develop new business opportunities.
- Visit potential customers and deliver presentations about Panasonic SW-solution
- Collaborate with sales teams to recommend, develop and execute go-to-market strategies for key software platforms and solutions
- Develop commercial/pricing and support models to ensure success of new solutions; focus on SaaS and recurring revenue models
- Collaborate with Marketing and Operations to ensure successful market launches of new solutions
Solutions Development:
- Identify and develop new Solutions opportunities through proactive engagement with customers, industry experts, and internal staff, and ensure that these initiatives are well aligned with the corporate solutions roadmap.
- Collaborate with Account Managers and other stakeholders to develop business proposals and presentations for development and delivery of new solutions. Work as a business partner with client leaders & users to evaluate/improve manufacturing processes & arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions.
- Ensure solution revenues meet or exceed forecasts and develop and maintain a tracking process to include revenue, costs, and life cycle management milestones.
- Coordinate with DSC to manage solution development process throughout the lifecycle with ownership of key activities. Collaborate with Strategic Services Team to advise on solution delivery and after-sale support.
- Analyze market trends and size, competition, and technology in targeted industries. Work with EPIC leadership and Finance in the development of business plans.
Process and Project Mgmt:
Accountable for operational excellence of assigned solutions, with duties including project reviews, feasibility, cost benefit analysis, prioritization, initiation, execution & closure for all project work related to the program.
Develop processes and tools that encourage continuous performance improvements. Responsibilities include development of business and operational processes that improve efficiency and raise customer satisfaction. Thoroughly understand the business strategies and operational models and the resulting processes that are developed.

What You'll Bring:
Education & Experience:
- 4 years degree, and a minimum of 10 years on industry experience is required.
- 5 years of Business Development and/or Product Management experience
- Specific industry experience in manufacturing, communications or other relevant industry is helpful
- Software solution experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of the Product Management and Development life-cycle.
Competencies:

- Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to identify new business opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Ability to thoroughly understand and manage all aspects of a solutions business, including P/L implications of decisions.
Communications:
- Both strong written and verbal skills required to effectively communicate with all levels (including the Director level and higher), PSSNA HQ Operations, Customers, Resellers, Sales, and other internal shared services resources
- Strong communicative, interpersonal and leadership skills required.
Other Requirements:
- Travel up to 10% of time including international travel
