Position Summary:

Responsible for the design and implementation of the methods of Continuous Improvement, Lean, PDS (DIL's Production System), and all Process Improvement programs within the Quality Operating Model. This includes supporting Process Maturity improvement initiatives across the entire value stream: Sales to Delivery, and other back-office functions such as HR, IT, SCM. Provide strategic thought and execution leadership internally and externally required to transform and support new product introductions, existing product optimization projects, and 3rd Party quality management programs. In addition, this role will be responsible for the continued development of the Policy Deployment initiative currently underway.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Serve as a key member of the Quality leadership team and help to execute an aggressive growth strategy which includes significant change management for the development and implementation of DAA's Enterprise Quality Strategy and the DAA WAY.

- Create the vision and strategy that drives continuous improvement in terms of cost reduction (CIP), productivity gains, and best practices to ensure consistent product quality across all functions and facilities.

- Ensure all improvement initiatives support all elements of the organization inclusive of the customer experience and front/back-office operations.

- Create an organizational training strategy that supports the continuous improvement culture including basic knowledge, process improvement, root cause analysis, maintenance, etc.

- Provide executive oversight for all Kaizen, Continuous Improvement, and CIP projects.

- Establish and implement a process for standard communication of continuous improvement initiatives across the organization and perform periodic audits to ensure the process is consistent.

- Coordinate and lead executive meetings for the purpose of selecting improvement projects, report progress on current projects, and maintain standardization of processes.

- Develop and implement opportunity assessment and realization scorecards for improvement in business performance across all areas of the business.

- Utilizing Lean methods, Value Stream Maps, SIPOC, RACI, and other as needed tools to improve the process and lead times for all segments of the Sales to Order and Order to Delivery processes and determine predictable lead times in order to increase customer satisfaction.

- Lead and facilitate Kaizen events to drive improvements across major programs such as Program Management, Continuous Improvement, and Project Management in order to have clear timelines, metrics, deliverables, and measurable benefits.

- Work with each Business Unit leader to develop and map the processes in order to determine predictable lead times by-product in order to more effectively work with customers on delivery dates.

- Assist in developing the Sales & Operations Planning process with the leadership of Supply Chain and Business Unit General Management

- Lead the core team to develop and lead the implementation of Policy Deployment for DAA.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field from a four-year college or university is required. An advanced degree is preferred.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Commercial Operations & Quality leadership.

- Experience preferred: Six Sigma, Total Quality Management (TQM), Lean, and SPC techniques.

- Track record of successful project management and team leadership experience.

- Strong knowledge of quality and design engineering, manufacturing, specifications, testing, and inspections.

- Ability to travel to Daikin's key sites throughout the U.S & Mexico.
