The Commercial Producer is responsible for conceptualizing, coordinating, writing, shooting, and editing commercials and other program material. Primarily, the Commercial Producer will work with the WXMI - FOX 17 sales team and their clients to produce television commercials to market local businesses.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:


  • Conceive, write, shoot, edit, and coordinate all video and audio materials necessary for production of commercials for station clients, and occasionally the station itself.

  • Assist sales management in creating sales videos for client presentations.

  • Develop relationships with station clients.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Education & Experience/Certifications


  • College degree in video production or a related field required.

  • At least two (2) years previous producing, editing and writing experience.

Skills & Abilities


  • Must be able to shoot video on broadcast quality equipment

  • Extensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite a must, particularly Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop

  • Must have a temperament conducive to working with top station clients

Work Environment

  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required. In addition, proof of insurance and liability coverage may be required.
