Under limited supervision performs work of routine related to cleaning and maintenance of the restaurant’s kitchen and all commercial kitchen equipment; performs related work as assigned.

Job Duty:

• Clean all floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and degreasing.


• Gather and empty trash.


• Service, clean, and supply employee restroom.


• Deep clean and scrub machines and equipment, making sure all are clean of food debris and buildup.


• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.


• Deep clean all floor drains, walls and all other areas of kitchen


• Make sure dish pit area is left completely clean at the end of each shift


• Inform management of any repairs needed in kitchen


• Organize and deep clean walk-in coolers and dry storage


• Related work

Education/ Experience/ Skills:

• Working knowledge of cleaning materials, methods and practices used


• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.


• Knowledge of operation of light and heavy equipment.


• High school or 2 year similar experience preferred.


• Follow written and verbal instructions


• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
