Children and adults with intellectual differences need help now! Working together and caring for others is critical during this ongoing pandemic. CSS is seeking dedicated, caring employees to provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in Montgomery County.
Community Support Services, Inc. is currently seeking part-time Direct Support Professionals. Work schedules include weekend awake overnight hours and remain constant each week to enable employees to manage family needs as well. Training and all protective equipment needed during the pandemic is provided. Care to individuals with disabilities is provided individually and in settings with less than four other people, reducing the risk of exposure to the virus. Individuals receiving support require assistance with bathing, dressing, cooking, cleaning, shopping, and accessing social and recreational activities. Many have limited communication skills and engage in challenging behavior. Direct support professionals work with nurses and psychologists to implement plans to teach individuals more independence and safe ways to achieve their goals.
CSS is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit charitable organization which provides services and support to children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities residing within Montgomery County, Maryland. CSS was founded in 1994 and began its mission by working collaboratively with individuals, families, and other lead agencies to design and implement new models of service. CSS provides residential services in 50 homes in upper Montgomery County, where two individuals reside in each home with one or two support staff providing care and supervision . Additionally, day support services including vocational training and education are provided in our main center, family homes, and in the local Montgomery County community.
