THE MAY CENTER FOR ABA SERVICES in Wilmington, Massis currently seeking compassionate and dedicatedFull-TimeDirect Behavior Therapist or RBTwho want to make a positive difference in the lives ofchildren ages 3-10 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).You will be trained in state-of-the-art instruction based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and receive supervision from an experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Staff will work 1:1 with children with an autism diagnosis to increase skill deficits in the areas of communication, social skills, independent play, self-help, and academics.The program will run similar to a typical school day or preschool program with small and large group activities, as well as 1:1 instruction, gross motor, and art activities.

Responsibilities:

- Implement specially designed programs that include developing academic skills, play skills, daily living skills and communication and social skills
- Record data and document of how each child responds to their programs, their behavior and their progress each day; share with supervisor weekly
- Graph data to illustrate child progress over time
- Submit narrative reports of each session and hours worked every day
- Attend staff meetings as scheduledQualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Early Childhood Development or related fieldpreferred
- ABA experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with children; experience working with children who have developmental disabilities preferred
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Ability to interact with children, i.e. running and implementing physical intervention strategies if necessary
- Comfortable working with children who display behavior problems
- Understanding of proper professional and communication boundaries in terms of families and supervisors
- Ability to defer to supervisors in program development, modification and report writing as app
