System Administrator 1

Candidate must have an active TS/SCI w/Poly

Key Tasks:

- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.

- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.

- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers

- Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.

Required Skills:

- System Engineering experience in an enterprise environment

- Linux OS proficiency minimum 5 years' experience

- Server infrastructure Installation and configuration experience. Both bare-metal and VMware ESxi virtual server experience preferred

- Broad understanding of systems, networking and storage administration

- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem resolution skills for issues affecting the infrastructure

- Demonstrated interpersonal and written communications skills with experience leading technical discussions, collaborating with technical staff and vendors, documenting best practices, processes and procedures

- Organized, self-starter with the ability to quickly and efficiently grasp and apply new concepts

Desired qualifications may include one or more of the following:

- Knowledge of Radian Mercury application for Cross Domain Solutions

- Scripting experience utilizing shell scripting, Python, Lua, PHP, Perl

- Familiarity with or experience with cross domain solutions utilizing technologies such as Radiant Mercury or Forcepoint High Speed Guard

- Experience migrating physical servers to virtual

- Project implementation planning and execution

- Cloud engineering

- Knowledge of Radiant Mercury application for Cross Domain Solutions

Required Education / Certifications:

- Seven (7) years' experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

- Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
