Department's Website:Summary of Job Duties:The School of Social Work in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas is accepting applications for a 12-month evaluation assistant to start in November 2020. This position will assist Drs. John Gallagher and Johanna Thomas of the University of Arkansas and Dr. Julie Baldwin of American University in the evaluation of an expansion of the Sebastian County Veterans Treatment Court.

The position is funded by a 5-year grant from the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration through Sebastian County. The initial appointment is for one-year-assuming satisfactory performance. There is the potential for renewal based on the need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory level of performance in the role.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school graduate or receipt of GED
- Ability to ask personal questions in a respectful and nonjudgmental manner
- Ability to participate in professional meetings of the veterans treatment court team

- Ability to protect the confidentiality of records and information

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing
- Prior experience conducting interviews in behavioral health or social service settings.
- Prior experience with the veteran or military community
- Prior experience working in a criminal justice or legal setting
