Position Overview

Working for our Southeast district as a Trucking Foreman includes managinge day to day trucking operations for the removal of 2.2 million cubic yards of dredged material off-site on a 65-acre site at Port Everglades, Florida. Its a great opportunity to provide leadership and oversight of equipment and vehicles.

District Overview

Kiewits Southeast District is one of Kiewits leading infrastructure districts specializing in heavy civil, transportation, and water resource markets. Projects you could be working on could include building bridges, airports, mass transit systems, canals, dams, pump stations or tunnels.¯ Although most of our work is regionally based in the southeast region of the United States, we also pursue various projects stretching across the east coast. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about infrastructure and committed to the construction industry as opposed to design.

This position is based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL

Responsibilities


  • Provide field leadership related to project site equipment resource use in regards to vehicles and equipment arriving on site or leaving site as well as required maintenance

  • Ensure project safety and quality performance through personal example as well as supervision activities

  • Work within Company data systems to record and track equipment maintenance and utilization

  • Manage dump truck routes and staging onsite daily.

  • Record and track hauling tickets for material leaving and entering the project.

  • Record and track equipment cost and utilization.

  • Someone that is bilingual Spanish/English is a must.

  • Coordination with other onsite contractors.

Qualifications


  • Five or more years' experience in light/heavy civil construction.

  • Ability to communicate effectively all levels of district and project management, staff and craft.

  • Experience and ability in the use of equipment database-related technology.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

  • Ability and willingness to travel or to relocate to project areas across North America as needed.

Working Conditions


  • Fast-paced project field environment; must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management while simultaneously manage a diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively; regularly sit, stand, walk and talk and listen; occasionally lift and move up objects up to 50 pounds.

  • Travel in the U.S. as needed.
