Overview:

Operates under the direction of the Manager of Imaging Services. Performs both prospective and retrospective review of procedure billing for Imaging Services. Accountable for managing charge information for billable medical supplies, as well as assisting with establishing appropriate inventory levels for these items. Responsible for assisting Supervisors with input of statistical information relative to charging. Processes patient accounts in accordance with the departmental and institutional policies and procedures. Maintains knowledge of financial computer systems, coding and billing. Works in conjunction with the Imaging Leaders of Interventional Radiology, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Radiology, and Breast Imaging. Liaison for Physicians, Central Service, ROi, purchasing, finance and departments that interact with Imaging Services. Works in conjunction with the Department Manager to assist with developing capital and supply portion of the operational budget. Helps manage general supplies in coordination with modality leaders including all Four Rivers Imaging locations.

Qualifications:

* Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field preferred but not required.

* Experience: Experience/expertise in related field or business.

* Certifications: Coding certification required within one year of starting in position. Radiology specific coding certification within two years of starting in position.

* Other: Knowledge of computer systems required including proficiency in Excel and Access. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Communicates with others in a kind, courteous, and professional manner. Assists with compiling financial reports to support business decisions, expenditures, and cost-benefit analysis.

* Preferred Experience: Experience with billing or coding highly desired
