Care Coordinator RN reports directly to the Director of Quality while working side by side with other Case Managers, and members of the Quality department including Infection Preventionists'. Stationed across all units to ensure that all elements involved to ensure patient safety are in effect. With the help of other staff, these RN's are fiscally responsible for maximizing patient care and satisfaction, while also decreasing the cost to make it affordable. They will collaborate with patients, family members, friends, and other physicians including insurance agents to verify all is running smoothly. 

The Care Coordinator RN plays a key role in the overall functionality of the facility, reducing medical costs, but increasing satisfaction rates. This role takes a highly communicative, social, and caring nurse to be successful. The RN will also work closely with social workers in order to meet patients needs while addressing situations legally, and ethically. You must have knowledge of the Utilization Review process for consideration as well as Medicaid, and Medicare regulations.
