The primary purpose of your job position is to provide assistance in all food and supplement functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Must be able to read, write and understand English.
Must be able to work productively and positively with the Dietary Director, the Consulting Dietitian, and other dietary staff.
Must enjoy resident contact, and possess the ability to work well with , residents, residents’ family and staff.
Must have a good understanding of quality food production.
Must understand regulations and have a basic understanding of health care
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be in good physical and mental health.
Able to work in an environment that exposes one to communicable diseases.
Able to work in an environment that varies in temperature and humidity.
Able to lift 20-35 pounds.
Able to bend, or squat to reach items located below waist level.
Able to work around heat of stove/oven and steam from food/steamer.
Able to tolerate the stress of meeting deadlines.
Additional hours may be required to meet the business needs of the facility to ensure safe resident care, at the discretion of management, overtime maybe required.
Must have a good understanding of quality food production.
