Provide technical expertise related to the administration, strategic analysis and communications of US Benefit programs. Programs encompass Health & Welfare, 401k, wellness and paid leaves. This position will act as the primary liaison between the benefits team, vendors / carriers and HR, payroll, and IT colleagues for supporting the US benefits. This position will also conduct research and data analysis regarding various aspects of the plans, identify and develop process improvements and implement programs accordingly.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support day to day administration of benefits in Oracle
Prepare and support Open Enrollment and employee on-boarding communications, including oversight of on-site and webinar-based information sessions on benefit program design and employee election process in Oracle.
Coordinate with external providers/partners to ensure benefit programs are administered accurately
Partner with and support internal stakeholders, including employees, managers, HR Business Partners and payroll
Understand the end-to-end flow of data between Oracle, Payroll and other applications and able to visualize the data issues and articulate
Actively coordinate with benefits vendors for any change or deployments and troubleshooting issues on a timely basis
Provide subject matter expertise and consulting to internal teams, evaluate issues and triage to work with vendor and IT team for the configurations and resolution
Perform data validation on data uploads and other data conversions and maintain accuracy of data
Perform routine and periodic audits, in conjunction with vendors regarding compliance, costs and usage
Ensure statutory compliance with FMLA, COBRA, ERISA and HIPAA legislation including year-end benefit reporting, including but not limited to Affordable Care Act 1094-C/1095-C,
Thoroughly research and respond to escalated issues, questions, and requests related to benefits, leaves and payroll coordination
Work with our employees to understand what would improve the employee experience and empower the broader HR team to effectively communicate our benefits offering.
Develops specifications for new plans or modifies existing plans in order to maintain company’s competitive position in labor market and obtain uniform benefit package for all company locations
Lead and complete ad hoc projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred and 5+ years of experience supporting Benefits as Administrator or Consultant
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Power Point, advanced skill in Excel
Industry experience preferred, but not necessary
Experience in a multi-state, multi-location organization
Very good understanding of HR system applications, processes and procedures; ability to perform detailed end-user testing of configurations and transactions, preferably Oracle
Strong data management, analytical and problem-solving skills, requiring great attention to detail
Knowledge of HR Policies and Procedures and Benefits regulations and compliance (ERISA, DOL, IRS, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, etc.)
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to promote positive working relationships.
Strong project management, organizational and time management skills
Understand key challenges in employee benefit plans and current health care trends.
Ability to handle confidential matters with sound judgment and professional discretion
Ability to work in a collaborative and independent setting
Ability to communicate well at different levels of the organization verbally and via written communication.
